How Radio Frequency Identification (RFID ) helps business

RFID or Radio Frequency Identification is a multi gadget application with associated software used to track and position vehicle movement which is important aspect in supply chain management. It is used in aerospace, medicine and many other new projects.

The two types namely active tags and passive  tags RFID in research and commercial use. Passive tags dont have their own power supply nd they drew the power required from the electromagnetic induction from the antenna by RF waves. Because of the low power available, it is used in low distance applications only like ID card.

In active RFID tags dedicated power supply is used to impart extended range and ability in operation.

RFID as a whole is an application which contains many gadgets and its own software. They are readers, antenna, transponders, dedicate software etc. They operate in either low or high or ultra high frequencies, depending on the environment and the range requirement.

RFID is extensively used in many commercial/ busines locations. They are widely used in book stores, cd libraries, animal tags. Thew are also used in car alarms, car lock systems. They can be used to detect movement. So they can be used in prison for watching the movement of inmates.
